Giving Back

It is our responsibility as part of a community and as human beings to give back when we can and where we can.

Businesses that support social services and non-profits contribute to improving the community they do business in and live in. Giving back is like planting a garden, you must watch it, water it, weed it, and love it for it to grow to be beautiful and withstand the rain.

What’s the 1% Pledge?

What if every company gave 1% of their time, products, or profits to charity? BlueLion is doing its part to make a positive impact on the world as a Pledge 1% Partner. By donating one percent of our annual profits, time, and services to charity, to our local community, we make serving others a priority and hope to inspire others to do the same.
Check out pledge1percent.org to learn more about how your business can give back to its community and change the world, 1% at a time.

Seasons of Giving

While Toni and Alison were employed at a large organization, they helped support their efforts to give back to the community in what Toni called “seasons of Giving.” The goal was to find a local charity during the Holiday season and with the support of the staff in their donation of time, money, or materials to be able to provide those in need with cheer when it seems they may have been forgotten.
When Toni and Alison started their business their 60+ team resources were no longer available, but their goal to help those in need was still there. Toni and Alison began leveraging family, friends, and other connections to continue to be able to provide Holiday Cheer each year!

2022 — Voices Against Violence

We raised money to purchase items such as slippers, socks, journals, body wash and scrubs, face masks, robes, blankets, candy, dish soap, sponges, dish towels, cleaning, products, and more. BlueLion utilized the money we would have spent sending our company Christmas card instead to purchase items for this organization and give back to those in need during the holiday season. Voices Against Violence includes a 24-hour hotline, crisis intervention, confidential short-term emergency shelter, counseling and support groups, information and referrals, and medical, legal, and criminal justice advocacy.
