Why Do You Love What You Do? I love the challenge of people. Everyone, although different, has basic needs that tie them together with others. Tyra Papaefthemiou Payroll Specialist
Industry Experience: I have 3 years of experience as an Accounting tutor. I did this part-time while I was a full-time Accounting student. And I have 2 years of experience working part-time at a small accounting firm before joining BlueLion. I did all things accounting – Payroll, Bookkeeping, and Individual Tax Returns. I focused heavily on payroll and was responsible for filing all SUI reports and Federal 941’s quarterly, and also filed and issued W2/W3/1099 forms at year end.
Why Do You Love What You Do? I love what I do as a Payroll Specialist because I get the best of both worlds – Accounting & HR work. I like helping clients ensure that their employees will be paid correctly and on time, every time. I enjoy being the one with the numbers for payroll.
When I’m Not Working, You Can Find Me… When I am not working, you will most definitely find me at Taekwondo. I am a 1st Dan (1st degree) Black Belt in Taekwondo, and I am continuing my training to go for my 2nd Dan. You will find me working on my poomsae (forms) or advanced kicks and routines for our demonstration team.
Fun Fact About Me: I have all the vowels in my last name in alphabetical order, and to top it off, I also have “Y” in my first name, because sometimes Y is a vowel! And yes, it’s Greek.
